ATTENTION EVERYONE!

Can you take part in important ANONYMOUS online study by Queens University Belfast on the experience of Stigma in gay men living with HIV.

HIV is still an overly stigmatised physical health condition and the stigma associated with it can often have negative effects on emotional wellbeing of people living with HIV, gay or straight. In the gay community, we are no strangers to stigma and many of us have struggled at one point or another because of homophobia and negative attitudes towards being gay. Although HIV affects EVERYONE, many people in the gay community have also had to struggle with the stigma associated with HIV. We all need to work as a society to break down myths and misconceptions so that we can break this stigma once and for all. One of the ways that we can do this is by conducting new research into the experiences of stigma.

So…. if you are a gay man living with HIV in England, Ireland or Northern Ireland and have a few minutes to spare, why not complete the following anonymous survey. It’s a study being completed by Queens University in Belfast and it aims to look at stigma and coping in gay men living with HIV.
