Brighton Fringe 2011 Best Cabaret Award winner Ty Jeffries, son of the British character actor and director Lionel Jeffries (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang/First Men in the Moon/The Railway Children), returns to the RVT as his comi-tragic heroine, down on her luck ex Vegas showgirl Hope, with his critically acclaimed, all-original one wo/man musical play 'Miss Hope Springs…Je m’appelle Hope’ performed solo... live at the piano.

Following a sold out season at The Drill Hall, Bloomsbury, five star reviews and an award for Best Stage Production from last year Ty is back for two nights with eleven brand new witty and touching self penned show songs described recently as ‘robust, crafted and heartfelt, a homage to Gershwin and Porter rather than a pastiche’ on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends.

As a boy Ty was educated at the prestigious Purcell School of Music and spent some of his formative years growing up in Hollywood, where, amongst other things, he danced with Fred Astaire, dined with Frank Sinatra and learned about glamour from his auntie Diana (Dors). His real life experiences lend authenticity to what has been hailed as ‘a stellar portrayal of a jaded faded star. Quite simply brilliant...

Five stars without a doubt.’ by The Fringe Review.

Taking the audience on a roller coaster ride with engaging and humorous confessional tales of her 'Ritz to the pits’ journey, Hope reveals how she has just returned from a trip to Paris in her Winnebago, where she sang in a seedy Pigalle nightclub, and learned that love, unlike carnival rides, has no height restriction.
