Lady Gaga hits back at anti-gay protestors

After anti-gay protesters from Westboro Baptist Church took heed outside gay advocate Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball concert in St Louis and the pop superstar has blasted back at them describing them as a ‘hateful organisation’.

The protesters stood outside the openly bi-sexual singers concert venue with signs reading "God hates Lady GaGa" for her apparent “promotion” of homosexuality and demanded the show be cancelled.

The Alejandro singer took to her Twitter account to encourage her fans to still attend and not retaliate towards them.

Speaking on the social networking site she tweeted: “At the risk of drawing attention to a hateful organization, I would like to make my fans aware of a protest being held outside the St.

Louis tonight."

"Do not respond to any of their provocation. Don’t waste your words, or feelings, no matter what you hear or see you are more fortunate and blessed than they are, and in your heart just pray for them."

According to the Metro, earlier this year, church spokeswoman Shirley Phelps-Roper told Radar Online: "We will be going to her concert with placards reading 'God Hates Lady Gaga' – to inform people that they will be going to hell too if they listen to her messages."

“According to the Bible homosexuality is an abomination and she has to shut her filthy mouth and stop promoting it.”
