Ricky Martin praises Argentina for passing gay marriage bill

Recently out Latino star Ricky Martin has praised Argentina for the movement to legalise gay marriage this week.

Argentina passed the gay marriage bill on Thursday morning, making it the first Latin American country to pass the bill, an area known for its strong catholic way of life.

The Livin La Vida Loca star has since praised the movement of Argentina. Writing in Spanish on networking site Twitter, he said: “Argentina, nation that is pensive, tolerant and just has made history by saying YES to gay marriage!

Example for the rest of Latin America! Congratulations!”

Ricky Martin recently had twin boys through surrogacy.
