Joe asked Adam: "As we've seen, you've been involved in a controversial gay kiss in the past (referring to his controversial American Music Awards performance last year) and I was wondering if you fancied another one tonight?"
An embarrassed looking Lambert said: "I'm very flattered but I have to pass. I'll probably have an off-screen gay kiss later. I'm not a w**re!"
To help lighten the situation, the star offered a consolation to his admirer, saying: "Thank you, though! Give me a hug!"
