Matthew Morrison, who plays lothario come musical choir director Will Schuster in Glee, has spoken about his huge gay following since the show took off worldwide.
Morrison describes his latest on screen gig as one of the gayest shows on TV and as a result has given him as many male fans as it has women.
According to Showbiz Spy, he said: “This woman came up to me and said, ‘I’m not old enough to be a cougar, but I’m a puma.’ I get a lot of that. I get a lot of gay guys.
I think Glee is one of the gayest shows on TV,”
The hit broadway actor recalls advice given to him by show creator Ryan Murphy in the early days when he said “You get the gays, everyone else follows.” Which has certainly come true.
As the show comes to an end on Monday, Morrison give insight in to what we can expect from his chaacther when the popular show returns for its second season.
“He’s stepped up and he’s just being a man … It’s a new guy. What I love about him now is he’s not perfect anymore. Now we’re seeing his faults and he’s making some bad choices here and there,” he said.
“At the end of the day, Glee is about inspiring kids and how the arts matter. The last episode is so touching and so emotional.”
