Well we lasted the agonising wait for the much-anticipated Madonna episode from our favourite group of misfits from McKinley High and the battle-axe that is Sue Sylvester.

Last night the Glee club ‘New Directions’ and cheering champions ‘the Cheerios’ took on an array of musical numbers from the legend that is Madonna.

The episode entitled ‘The Power Of Madonna’ saw our favourite musically talented students take on the Queen of Pop’s most infectious hits out of her accolade that spans decades.

The highlight of the evening was a definite debut performance from the acid tongue coach of Sue Sylvester with her rendition of ‘Vogue’

Other songs performed were Ray of Light; Express Yourself; Borderline/Open Your Heart; Like a Virgin; 4 Minutes; What it Feels Like for a Girl; Like a Pray.



According to Digital Spy the episode brought in 1.42m (5.7%) to E4 in the 9pm slot and a further 458k (2.6%) watched the episode an hour later on timeshift station E4+1.

Meaning the channel beat parent station Channel 4 in the timeslot.

Overall it turned out to be an episode that was truly Madge-ical!
