Ex-Hollyoads Hunk Gary Lucy is going the gay way when he joins the cast of Eastenders tomorrow, Thursday

He will play the character of Danny Pennant, a banker who stirs things up between Syed and Christian, the square's gay couple who are getting married.

Speaking at the Inside Soap awards, he told The Sun's 'The Biz' that it wasn't so different to kissing a girl, even though he had a sleepless night the night before.

"It was the first time I kissed a guy, so it was different. The night before I just had to tell myself: 'Right, I'm going to work and kiss a bloke' - all night."

Gary's character is set to ruffle the feathers of residents and fans alike when he flirts with Syed when a debt collector comes and demands money from Syed, and they share a kiss.
