The Sun newspaper has asked "Hands up who thinks there should be more lesbian romps on telly!"

It should come as no surprise that the article was written by a man Dave Masters, although it maybe unfair to assume that he is straight we are guessing by the article that he is.

Sadly Beth Jordache is still in their Top 11 (random number) but for those of you who are interested in what they view as top lesbian romps (And by the way that means kiss, who on earth would be a lesbian if a peck constituted a romp?) But anyway here is their countdown.

We have of course Beth Jordache, the sexually confused Brookside teenage star who had one of the first sapphic clinches on British TV.

Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox also appeared in the list for their poor excuse of a lesbian kiss. It was like watching two of your straight mates pull to get a boys attention.

Ally McBeal also made it with her equally weak embrace with Lucy Liu.

The seriousness of the poll was then brought under scrutiny when I came across the entry of Marge Simpson.

No where did they mention Shane McCutcheon and Cherie Jaffie, Hello?

Major miss there, although I don't suppose Mr Masters ever watched The L Word.
