Glee newcomer Darren Criss was said to be touched by his award the recognised his recent success at the NewNowNext awards.

Criss, who plays openly gay heartthrob Blaine in Glee, was awarded the Brink of Fame Actor award in the fourth annual ceremony in California.

In an interview with the dashing actor reportedly said about the award: “It was my first legitimate – well, I don't want to say legitimate to negate any other awards I've ever gotten. But it's the first time I'd been nominated with people that I was really kind of like – Oh, my God, Andrew Garfield, Donald Glover, Emma Stone – all these people who I think are awesome!
