Gareth Thomas receives a Royal wedding invite

Rugby ace Gareth Thomas has revealed that he is one of the lucky few to get an invite royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton next month.

The Welsh rugby player, who came out as gay in 2009, is said to be honoured to receive the invite.

According to the Telegraph he was in London for the launch of the Nintendo 3DS when he revealed he will be attending the wedding at Westminster, however it wasn’t the only reason he was in the capital as he revealed he was also here to get a suit fitted for the special day on April 29th.

He reportedly said about the day: "I'm a friend of William through rugby.

I'm just going to the service. I'm not nervous about it. It will be really good."

Gareth’s agent Emmanuel Paladino also said about the prestigious invitation: “Getting the invitation was a pleasant surprise for him and he is definitely looking forward to it very much.

“It is not every day you get to go to a Royal wedding. 

“

Gareth will be attending the service at Westminster Abbey and he thinks it should be an excellent and fun day.”
