Gwen Steffani’s other half Gavin Rossdale has finally admitted to having a same-sex encounter years ago with 80’s pop star Marilyn.

Boy George claimed the pair had a relationship back in 1995 and the equally flamboyant singer Marilyn, real name Peter Robinson, admitted the claims last year.

After years of speculation Gavin, 44, finally spoke out about the claims to Details magazine when they asked if it was a one off experiment, he replied: "Yeah. That was it, you have to know what you like, and I know what I like."

On why he kept quiet about the past, he said: "I think at the outset there was a sort of fear - that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn't want it to be part of it, It felt like a cheap shot, so I was like, 'I'm not getting involved.' I've never wanted to appear closed about it.
