Danny Miller who plays Emmerdale’s gay Aaron Livesy has spoken about the gay hate mail he has received since taking on his challenging role but revealed this hate mail has actually been from the gay fans.

Miller, 19, has received a number of letters from the gay audience who were annoyed to find the actor was infact straight and dating co-star Roz Fielding, creating many boys hearts to break around the country.

According to The Sun, the Dales’ actor said: "I got a couple of nasty letters. I suppose a lot of people would have thrown them in the bin but I did feel for these people."

"They were gay lads and they'd built up an image of what I'd be like in real life and they were gutted when that fantasy was crushed."

He added that the gay male fans should lose all hopes of him returning the admiration as he is very much happy with Fielding who he has been dating for five months: "I'm very happy. She's like a best mate to me."
