Teenager shot dead at a Brazil Pride

A teenager has been shot dead during a Pride festival in Southeast Brazil after a fight broke-out between two rival gangs at the LGBT event in the city of Juiz de Fora.

Police have reported that the teenager was shot after the gangs got into a confrontation en route to the parade, which was attended by almost 70,000 people.

According to the Associated Press, local media has reported that another teenager is said to have been shot in the leg but his injuries aren’t fatal.

Reports state that reportedly 17 people have been arrested, including one male suspected of firing the shots that killed the teenager.
