John McCain has shocked America after electing a gay man to head up his presidential campaign despite being vocal about his lack of support over repealing the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell law.

McCain, recently announced that Mark Buse was to be the man to head up the campaigns despite being outed back in the previous presidential campaign in 2008.

The Republican has often been blasted for his support towards the LGBT community nad only recently he insisted that the end of the ban allowing gays to serve openly within the military would be a bad move.

According to Gay Agenda, he said “The people that I talk to and know, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, have both come out strongly against the repeal, and certainly even more strongly against a process that would preemptively address an issue which, could, could, I emphasize could – we haven’t done the study – could adversely affect the morale and battle effectiveness of the United States military, the by far and head and shoulders above and better than any other in the world today.”

Buse started as an intern within the party and has now worked his way up to chief-of-staff and heading up the campaign strategy.
