A woman in Brisbane, Australia struck a man in the face with a glass after being taunted for hours for being a being a lesbian.

The intoxicated 34-year-old Moura man sustained serious injury including laceration to his left eye, grim injuries to his nose and forehead and was flown to Brisbane for surgery. In November 2008, Taylor was enjoying a night out at a hotel in Moura, at least until she was abused for her sexuality.

''This man engaged in perverted actions.

He called her a dyke, he called her a lesbian. He said instead of using a (sex toy), why don’t you let me stick a real d**kin you,'' Defence barrister David Murray told a Rockhampton court on Tuesday.

Nicole Eva Taylor pleaded guilty in Rockhampton District Court to grievous bodily harm. Over a period of about five hours at the hotel, the man engaged in inappropriate and offensive behaviour towards Taylor.

Taylor ignored the man. He continuously brushed against her backside and breasts and rudely intruded in her conversations. And when other patrons at the hotel started to complain about the man, as a cover-up he told them Taylor was his wife and they were just having a fight.
