Paris Hilton AIDS slur on gay men

Paris Hilton has come under fierce criticsm and is facing a major social backlash after a recording surfaced with Paris allegedly stating that "most gay men probably have AIDS".

In an audio recording aired on Radaronline taken in a back of a taxi on September 7th in New York City, the reality star was traveling with a gay friend and discussing Grindr. Paris was heard saying: "'Ewww. Ewww.

To get f***ed? Gay guys are the horniest people in the world. They're disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS... I would be so scared if I were a gay guy. You'll like, die of AIDS."

According to a spokesman, Paris was apparently speaking about the dangers of having unprotected sex. "'The conversation became heated after a close gayfriend told her in a cab ride a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex...
"The cab driver who recorded this, only provided a portion of the conversation.
"It was not her intent to make any derogatory comments about all gays.
"Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone’s sexual orientation."

However, this has not stopped social networking sites going into overdrive with comments such as Boy George tweeting "Another star tramples on flowers! SHAME!" and another Tweeter stating "Ignorant thy name is Paris Hilton..."

Paris has today issued an apology for her remarks on the GLAAD website, which can be read below:
