Residents of Beverly Hills are said to bout outraged by the outlandish homophobic comments made by a young woman claiming to be Miss Beverly Hills 2010.

According to TMZ, residents of the high-end suburb of Los Angeles are furious with the comments made by Lauren Ashley, after she openly damned homosexuality to Fox News.

In an interview with the Network on Tuesday, Lauren Ashley, 23, said that gay people should be put to death, “In Leviticus it says, 'If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them.'"

A representative for the area reportedly told TMZ that there was no official person appointed Miss Beverly Hills and insisted that Ms Ashley doesn’t even live in the area, “Ms Ashley resides in Pasadena.

She does not represent Beverly Hills in any capacity.”

Contestants are allowed to choose the area they represent in the Miss California USA pageant without receiving permission from the city officials but must include the word ‘USA’ in their title.
