Despite the bad weather pride goers reveled in the streets of Calgary as the city enjoyed its largest LGBT Pride to date and celebrated equality and diversity together.

The event celebrated its 20th year of pride festivities as people in there thousands took to the streets to see the largest number of floats travel through the dampened city in California, USA.

One party goers explained to news network CTV about how it is clear to see times are changing over the years which is evident in the divers crowd attending the parade.

Brittany Wyse said: "Before it was such a big deal to be in this parade because you could lose your job, lose friends and now its like, we're out and we're proud and we have no problem coming out here and showing you that."
