Miller has received praise for his take on the emotional role of Aaron Livesy coming to terms with his sexuality in the Yorkshire Dales but earlier this week the 19-year-old actor revealed that he was attacked by two men because of his gay role.
The teen was out watching his dad, comic Vince Miller, in Manchester when he was set upon by the two men. He later revealed about the attack on his Twitter site, saying: "I was attacked by a couple of lads tonight but escaped unharmed.
I just didn't want people worrying."
Over 12,000 responded to his tweet and sent their best wishes. He later added on the social networking site that the attack was “Emmerdale related.”
Since taking on the role the young actor has revealed that he is has received hate mail actually from the gay community, where some people were angry to find out he was straight in real life.
Danny is dating his 21-year-old co-star Kirsty Leigh Porter who plays Roz Fielding.
