“Proud Odyssey” sponsored by Unison, which saw thousands of Oxfords Gay community march yesterday (most dressed in space themed costumes) at the annual Gay Pride event.

The march was the end of a 10-day festival which included and eclectic mix of events.



Partying went on till the early evening with entertainment from a local jazz band.

Mazz Image director of Oxford Pride said to Pinkwire - "The day was a fabulous success with three to four thousand people attending throughout the day. The parade doubled in size this year from last and everyone enjoyed the event".

Mazz also went on to say that they are still looking for more volunteers. Next years Pride annual event will run Fri 3rd June with the parade on Sat 11th June.

"We always need more volunteers, any body who is looking to share or develop their skills can apply online at www.oxfordpride.org.uk"
