The Conservatives now have the largest number of openly gay male MPs - at least 10, according to the Conservative Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender group.

Labour has eight gay MPs. The Lib Dems do not release figures on how many openly gay MPs they have, although there are thought to be two, including new MP Stephen Gilbert in St Austell and Newquay.
