Openly gay Labour MP Ben Bradshaw has kept his Exeter seat in the elections last night as the tally continues and Britain prepares itself for the result.

Bradshaw, who is the current Secretary of State for Culture, Media and sport, was voted in to Parliament back in 1997 and was already openly gay at the time of his election.

He has since registered his civil partnership with Neal Dalgeish in June 2006.
