A therapist is at risk of losing her license after claiming to convert a gay man straight and ‘healing’ him of his alternative sexuality.

Psychotherapist Lesley Pilkington is to face a disciplinary hearing this week after being caught out by a gay rights campaigner on her work to revert gay men back to a heterosexual lifestyle.

The 60-year-old Christian woman faces losing her accreditation British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy. Pilkington reportedly told the Sunday Telegraph that her practice ‘Sexual Orientation Change Efforts’ is legitimate and effective.

However, The Royal College of Psychiatrists has blasted her opinions and methods as absurd. It has also been revealed that Pilkington’s son is in fact gay.

She believes that her 29-year-old son has a ‘homosexual problem.’
