The five teams include as GFC Bournemouth & Hampshire, Exeter Lions, Cardiff Dragons, Trowbridge Tigers and Bristol Panthers all taking part and competing in the newly formed regional league.

According to Pink Paper, Martin Hasting, GFC Bournemouth Chairman, said: “I think the quality of gay football on the whole is on the rise.

“A regional league will help with the progress of smaller and newly established teams in the area and hopefully other regions will follow.”
